Due to track improvement Works between Ballybrophy and Portlaoise from Monday 25th to Thursday 28th September 2006 the following services may be delayed:

09.30 Cork to Heuston may be delayed by 30-35 minutes

09.50 Heuston to Limerick may be delayed by 10-15 minutes

11.00 Heuston to Cork may be delayed by 30-35 minutes

11.30 Cork to Heuston may be delayed by 20-25 minutes

12.45 Limerick Junction to Limerick may be delayed by 20-25 minutes

13.38 Mallow to Tralee may be delayed by 10-15 minutes

Iarnrod Eireann regret any inconvenience this essential work may cause.

These works have been going on for at least 4 months, and possibly 6. Day in, day out. Very slow: what can they be doing? You don't see anything like it on other railway systems.
