Midweek Port Laois Ballybrophy
Despite the dates given expect this every Tuesday to Thursday for the foreseeable future, sometimes Monday also effected
Its not track improvement its track repair and routine maintenance and you will be delayed Quote:

I caught this train this morning from Portlaoise and it didn't arrive in Portlaoise until 11:45.
We got into dublin at 12:40 but it took another few minutes before they could let us out because of an electrical fault that caused the doors not to open. This means I am going to have to catch the 9:10 train to be in work for half 12ish! Goodbye lie in! |
Isn't it interesting that IE post on there website this morning this
Quote:
Monday was yesterday and aren't we to get 4 weeks notice of disruption Remember this section of this forum has consistently provided more accuarate and more timely info than IE themselves |

12.45 Limerick Junction to Limerick may be delayed by 20-25 minutes
13.38 Mallow to Tralee may be delayed by 10-15 minutes How are these delayed by works between Portlaoise and BallyB? |
There connecting trains off the delayed Dublin Cork ones
|
But have never been on any of the previous lists....

People are complaining

Why don't they have things like this under the travel alerts section on not under general news. Surely it is something that intending travellers should be aware of as opposed to something someone looking for news about Irish rail would be interested in. It bugs me. rant over.

Here we go again, as normal after 5pm it appears

Barry's office must have gone to the pub early

These works have been going on for at least 4 months, and possibly 6. Day in, day out. Very slow: what can they be doing? You don't see anything like it on other railway systems.

Surprise surprise

I have caught the 0930 Cork from Portlaoise twice this week and there was no delay
|
Still going on it seems and typical for IE it goes up at 5pm less than 3 days before it happens, still having issues with November spelling it seems

They must have headed to the pub early since we get it wow an hour earlier than normal, surely we are entitled to 8 weeks notice?
Good to see IE still can't proof read stuff on their website, Monday Tuesday well what is it and November has a r in it last time I checked This will continue for at least another month, I know that maybe IE can tell us that online Quote:
