Enterprise - Newry Platform Works 10-Jul-2008 15:32
Due to construction work at Newry Rail Station the Dublin bound platform will be closed from 21st July until further notice.
All Enterprise services will use the opposite Belfast bound platform.
Arrival times in Dublin may be subject to delays of up to 15 minutes.
Train services from Newry to Belfast will operate as normal.

For further information please contact the Translink Callcentre on 02890 666630 (7am to 8pm).
Of course Irish Rail saying nothing, no notices to be seen in Connolly yesterday either. But does anyone expect different from Irish Rail?

This seems to be over-cautious on the part of Translink/NIR. I was on the 1810 ex Balfast a while ago and we used the Down platform. It probably added 3 minutes to the time, mainly because of the approach-controlled signal in advance of the crossover. Despite several other signalling checks, we were about 3 minutes late into Dublin.

Don't they know the existing timetable has padding?
