Joke !!
As a regular user of the 16.25 to Waterford I was amused to see a ticket checker sitting in the little cabin at platform 7 hassling young people (who were no more than 15 or 16 & obiously students ) for student cards and generally studying each ticket as if it were a winning lottery ticket. Since that day as an experiment I have been using my out of date annual ticket from last year & surprise surprise our eagle eyed checker has not said a word !! I wonder how long before I'm collared ?? 2 weeks and counting so far....

I still have last years ticket in my wallet. I accidentally put it in the exit validator once, and it definitely rejects it. I suspect if I'd just flashed it at the guy by the gates he'd have let me through, though.
