Default [3-4-2007] Train failure at connolly

A train failure at connolly station is currently holding up northbound services. Not much info to go by. The info available is being repeated every minute or two

Latest info is the failed train was a Howth bound DART and it appears to have failed on arrival in Connolly blocking access to P6 and P7. DART was in P6, think it was 16:55 Greystones Howth, info courtesy of a B Kenny stuck on the platform

16:55 Drogheda Pearse got stuck in the mess, that being the troublesome train

The Rosslare train was a good 10 minute down

Latest weirdness is a northbound DART to Howth has pulled into the southbound platform in Pearse and its the Alstom set.

Drogheda bound is leaving northbound at the moment from Pearse

Well that DART leaving Pearse was the werid Alstom one so it wasn't the cause, as it so frequently is

Info states it was a Japanese DART unit which died while half way into P6 Connolly, more to the point came to a grinding halt

That blocked the line to P6 and P7 and all trains on the normal north track from Tara Street. Trains diverted wrong line through Tara to P5 Connolly.

P7 was available to arrivals from Maynooth/Drogheda and departures but not through trains

And it was impossible to get something to pull the dead dart into connolly, take everyone off and drag it out of the way to let the rest of the trains proceed?
