All services from Cork-Heuston between 0830 and 1630 inclusive on Saturday, as well as the 0730, 0800, and 0900 services on Sunday are fully booked. There is currently 1 seat left on the 0700 service and 115 on the 0630 service on Sunday.
The 1700 Heuston-Cork on Sunday is deferred to 1745 and has some remaining seats. All services after this are fully booked. Both morning services from Tralee-Heuston on Sunday are fully booked. The 1845 and 1910 Heuston-Tralee services are also fully booked, but there is still availability on the 2010. All online offers are suspended from today until Sunday. Iarnród Éireann has advised that passengers without reservations will not be permitted to join fully-booked trains at intermediate stations. |

No services from Midleton or Cobh. Would have thought that they could have used any spare (is there any spare) 3 piece 22k, one from Midleton & one from Cobh, join them at Cork and form another special to Dublin!
The best anyone from Midleton can use is the 08:45 ex Midleton to connect with the 10:30 Cork - Dublin with an 82 minute wait in Cork! Same with people from Cobh: 09:15 Cobh - Cork & 10:30 Cork - Dub! Surely they could have added another special (with the current services fully booked). 08:00 from Cork could continue to Dublin instead of terminating @ Mallow (or keep the current 08:00, and add 08:10 Cork - Dub :- 8 minute headway possible) I would imagine that the 07:30 from Killarney (with only a stop @ Rathmore & Banteer) would pass Mallow around 08:20. Also an 09:30 Cork - Dublin as well could have been added. Just a thought, I know there might be a case for shortage of drivers / rolling stock. With these 2 extra services, they might decide to add connections from Midleton & Cobh! Finbarr. |

I don't think 22Ks are cleared for the east Cork line.

There is only a finite number of trains and staff. If you send the 2 3car 22k sets to Dublin then there is nothing to cover the Tralee services
There are specials from Cork, Tralee, Killarney and Limerick and for the minor game one from Westport From Cork 6:30 7:00 sold out 7:30 sold out 8:00 sold out change Mallow 9:00 sold out Four extra direct trains is a very decent showing
