Default Cork/Kerry Day Return Saver

Noticed in last week's Cork Independent, there is now a Cork/Kerry Day Return Saver available.

It's available at booking offices only for services after 0830 Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays. No information on this offer can be found on irishrail.ie.

I don't understand why the offer cannot be given online, instead of the €42.90 quoted for a day return Cork - Tralee.

There's a lot of mystery in the online pricing of journeys that to not go to or through Dublin.

Considering journeys like Cork-Tralee or Cork-Galway fill capacity on trains that are going around half-empty, you'd expect them to be heavily discounted. Instead, you pay more for them.
