My mistake was pre purchasing a five day ticket in advance via a promotion in work, thought i could complete the two journeys on any date between those listed on the ticket but that's not the case, i travelled on the first leg of my journey day later than that listed on the ticket, the ticket was validated before boarding the train |

![]() That's a tough one. Online and TVM tickets print with "outbound valid on" and "return valid until" dates. If you had a booking office or portable ticket which just says "valid from" and "valid to" you'd probably be able to get off.
