Was informed by Luas customer service today that the transaction limits will remain in place even with chip and pin

Veolia don't run the machines.

The RPA who are responsible have told us that once the roll out is fully complete and is working reliably the restriction will be lifted

I think what Thomas meant was, what happens if you try to use a card that has no chip in these machines, e.g. an American credit or debit card?

Anyone know what the mechanics of using a non-chipped card are at the chip & PIN machines?

To answer my own question, they work unverified as before with one transaction per day.
