15:05 - Heuston - Waterford has been delayed by at least 50 minutes. The last Real Time Update stated it was 25 mins late at Cherryville Junction. Even bigger delay expected as the 16:50 is not due in Kilkenny until 17:30.

16:35 - Heuston - Waterford running 22 minutes late also.

1705 to Sligo has just got off 25 minutes late. Seems to be a lot of messing about around Connolly.
The train didn't arrive for boarding until 1715 which is a bit unfair on those unlucky enough to be standing at the wrong place on the platform since 1630. Still, mustn't grumble. No more trains for me until January 10th.

Everything is delayed in hueston by about 30 minutes. They still have all the trains on the board as normal and only some have notes of late departures. There is a woman doing the arrivals announcements over the the station and then giving out what trains are boarding. So far the limerick 5.25 and the galway 5.45 have boarded but not left. The 6 o'clock cork train and the 6.05 to portlaoise are now boarding. It's going to be a looong wait.

1520 Dublin-Belfast departed at 1709 due to "a mechanical problem" I suspect they used the set from the 1410 ex Belfast

By the time the 1520 left Newry it was 121 minutes late

1650 ex Dublin last reported 60 minutes late

C3K operating 1810 to Dublin and 2050 to Belfast

1810 last reported 20 minutes late

Default Irish rail - accepting Dublin Bus tickets after 2220

http://irishrail.ie/news_centre/travel_alerts.asp?action=view&news_id=969
Quote:
Tuesday 21st December: Full services operating with some delays by Corporate Communications
Tuesday 21st December - 21.30hrs

Full services are continuing to operate throughout the network across Intercity, DART and Commuter routes.

Some delays may occur where snow is being cleared from points, however we will get customers to their destinations.

Customers are also advised to allow extra travel time to get to stations due to poor road and footpath conditions.

Current alterations: M3 Parkway services will operate to and from Connolly Station instead of Docklands.

Delays of 10-20 minutes to DART and Commuter Services through Connolly Station - clearing snow from points.

Delays of 20-30 mins to/from Heuston - clearing snow from points

Also, please note that as Dublin Bus services will cease operation this evening at 22.00hrs, Iarnród Éireann will accept Dublin Bus tickets on our services in the Dublin area.

This website will be updated with any new travel information during the renewed cold spell, primarily through the twitter feed below. Also, please follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/irishrail for up to date info.
