Some imbecile with a JCB forklift / mini crane on a low loader hit the bridge on South Lotts road. The cab of the JCB was what hit the bridge. He needed a good 2 feet more clearance to make it through. The gards were there. I would expect long delays this morning. Automatic driving bans for people who hit railway bridges. |

![]() As usual Irish Rail fail to communicate
1. No date, time or expected duration of disruption on the IE website 2. Once again the RUI twitter feed http://twitter.com/RailUsersIe is updated before Irish Rail 3. No notice that the line has reopened

![]() The 07:40 Rosslare to Connolly was delayed by 15 mins this morning probably because the down morning Rosslare was delayed. Nice experience waiting at Greystones for a train that may or may not show up at all. No announcement regarding if the train was delayed or not. Is a small little audible announcement too much to ask for?

![]() I'd say the temporary ticket office outside greystones station isn't connected up to the PA ferg...most likely the employee in the ticket office was either too busy selling tickets or not bothered to go into the office and announce the delay. I think in recent months announcements have improved significantly in Greystones but the ongoing work in the station foyer is probably license for the workers to take it sleazy for the next few weeks
