![]() Thats really a matter for the contractor.
With Metro North the suggestion is that the TBM be parked in a stub tunnel and stripped, leaving the lining in place. Interconnector is a bit more up in the air. (Not! - pun!) |

![]() The TBMs will be buried. it is cheaper to leave them in the ground then to dismantle them and dispose of them later.
Metro TBMS will stay under St Stephen Green. Interconnector TBM will be buried also. Problem is each machine is individually designed for a project and the projected ground conditions. It is not that easy to sell them second hand! |
