I avoided it for about a month last year but then I decided to bite the bullet and go for it again. Irish Rail had already deprived me of 2 minutes in bed every day when they moved the 06:48 from Drogheda to 06:46 (without arriving in Pearse any earlier) so I'll be damned if they add an extra half hour to my Friday. To be fair, since the start of the year it has been an 8 carriage train most weeks, but short trains cannot be considered a rarity on that service.
