the saga of the enterprise continues. train currently delayed due to locomotive failure. no further details given

its becoming a joke. the 06.50 has been a carriage short the last week or so.. I took to driving in as an experiment last week. based on that I might not be renewing my annual ticket! or at least not from dundalk

I suspect the missing carriage was being repainted. Not really on to be missing a carriage on the most crowded train of the day so they can have a shiny new paint job.

Yes, bur expect more unnecessary withdrawels for painting in the coming weeks. They could repaint everything by cycling their spares, but it would take a little longer.
