06.17 From Newbridge !
Like with most "services" Irish Rail provide getting this train every day is one of the most fustrating experiences I have to endure. In the last week or so the journey from Cherry Orchard to Heuston is taking as long as Newbridge to Cherry Orchard.I realise there are restrictions in place but as this the 1st train in the morning how much danger can it pose !!! I have noticed that the arrow bomb's past us every morning on its way to Kildare, aparently not delayed by the speed restrictions...The train also stops to let Irish Rail workers off at the side of the tracks .....very ....very annoying

There are no speed restrictions inward from Cherry Orchard, 60 to Inchicore then 40mph down the hill and 10/20mph into Heuston depending on which side, 8 minutes at most
A driver is not allowed stop between stations unless a signal requires him/her to do so or its an emergency of some sort. Dropping staff off at Inchicore is seriously unsafe There is a issue with the 7:00 and 7:10 departures which normally use a high platform number and take the route behind the shed which blocks incoming trains |

Thats legal since its a booked staff change, pulling in in the middle of nowhere to drop your mates is not
Very few people can legally travel in the cab, now if the staff are jumping out of the front coach or guards van its a different thing, much much worse |
