Arrow Newbridge Rail Group - Public Meeting - 20/3/2007

Crew from Newbridge have been in touch

Newbridge Rail Group (NRG) which was formed after a public meeting last year in response to growing commuter frustration is holding a further public meeting in the Hotel Keadeen on the Tuesday 20 March 2007 at 8PM.

NRG has invited Irish Rail management back to Newbridge to address their customers. Last March Irish Rail made many promises to a packed room in the Keadeen. These promises were to provide and improve basic facilities for commuters and occasional users of Irish Rail services – many of these customers paying over €1600 a year for the privilege. One year on and many of these promises remain just that – promises!

Folks from NRG will provide a full report in due course

Needless to say Irish Rail got hammered into the ground, no amount of smooth talking got them anywhere and they started to dig a very large hole for themselves. They have utterly failed to deliver on numerous issues despite the promises

Im not in the least bit suprised by the contents of that press release. Personally my faith in dealing with/talking to IE is rather low. I believe constant criticism in the media and constant complaining to the Minister is a better route. User groups are great for this. Love ins with IE management get you nowhere. Well done to NRG for taking the stand they have taken.

As for why Sallins can get an extra train here and there......a small bit of research reveals all.
