Default 16 car sets of 29000

If the platforms were lengthened at Drogheda, Connolly and say Bray, would it make sense to turn some of the Drogheda trains into 16 car sets?

If there is a capactity issue on the line, would longer trains be an option if there were not stops at every station, maybe with some passing loops?

10 car is as far was the design stretches to, few if any stations can take such a train and given the move from 12 trains an hour to the ability to take 20 it shouldn't be needed

The game is that on paper in a emergency a 10 coach railcar can tow another 10 car one, it can't be done in normal service
