Default [9-3-2007] 12:30 Belfast Dublin & 15:20 Dublin Belfast

Seems like they are transferring to a C3K

Quote:
Enterprise - 1230 Belfast Central to Dublin Connolly 9-Mar-2007 13:20
Due to mechanical diffciulties passengers will be transferred on to an non-Enterprise train at Belfast Great Victoria Street. As such First Plus will not be available and catering will be limited.

12:30 reached Dublin a few minutes ago, it operated as a C3k

Looking at a least 20 minutes delay on the 15:20 going north, but since it runs non stop to Dundalk it should claw back a lot of that when it faces the hills

I didn't get a chance to report at the time, but a couple of weeks ago the morning service out of Dublin was operated by the Sligo Mk2s, which turned into the Gatwicks pulled by 8113 in the evening.

what is the state of the DDs, are they going to be replaced, refurbed?. There seems to be a high amount of failures for a premier line

What are the problems?
Failing locos due to HEP demands?
or some glitch with the coaches?

Seems to be coach related in the main, there is a spare locomotive in Connolly and York Rd thus if it was HEP they would simply swap and get moving

218 was swapped out at Connolly on Monday at 15:00 with a HEP fault, replacement loco rolled in no delay to passengers

Take one look at a enterprise set and it obvious they are not cared for in any way by NIR, there is a long list of evidence that NIR can't maintain anything half right. things been good until about 2 weeks ago, the parking brake issue seems to have gone away but things went crazy over the last 2 weeks

Wouldn't it make more sense for NIR to contract maintenence to Inchicore ?
