Default accessibility at Donabate

Since August Fingal Co.Co /IE have been involved in works at the end of turvey avenue in Donabate.

The old carpark exit has been sealed up and a new one opened.
This means that where it was approx 200m from the ticket office to the northbound platform, it is now a journey of 340m for someone unable to navigate the old steps.

Now you have to exit the ticket office, go back out to the road, cross the railway bridge, follow along a path. step onto the road around a metal fence, cross the new road, step up onto footpath, turn right down this new road, step down of fthe footpath, cross this road, step up onto footpath along the new carpark entrance road step down off the footpath and enter the far end of the carpark, walk along carpark to platform gate.

Now in light of the time effort amd money spent making dart stations accessible, the CDE internal door issue, etc, the lack of thought shown here in allowing this to happen is staggering.

I am prepared to accept older stations not having great accesibility on a grandfather rule but to allow this happen in 2006 is incredible.
