Station works in Portlaoise
They have been working on the station in Portlaoise for many weeks now. In order to allow the trucks in and out of the station, they have stopped people from parking on the ramp up to the station which used to always be full. This means there is less room for cars to park and seeing as how the builders like to leave things lying around on parking spaces the number of spaces seems to reduce by the day. Yesterday for example we just about managed to park somewhere that wasn't a space but wasn't in the way of traffic. 3 spaces were blocked off by building materials such as fencing and cones. This morning the same 3 spaces were unavailable as were another 6 which were blocked by the trailer of a lorry with concrete slabs on it. People are going to be left with no choice but to abandon their cars and block the way for people getting the earlier trains home.

This morning we had to park alongside the lorry thing which is still sitting there actually taking up 6 not 5 spaces. We parked there as did 3 other cars. I'm sure we'll get a nice please refrain from parking in this area sticker but we had no choice. You should be able to get parking at 7:15 in the morning surely?

There is space for about 20 cars on the other side but they are alway full (with staff cars sometimes - even though there is a special car park for staff cars)

It will be hard to identify them really but you tend to see them drive away in them after the last train in the evening.
