GRRRRRRR.
I just rang 1850366222 and am told that the Cork trains this evening are going as far as Limerick Junction except the half six is only going to Thurles. I'm only going to Portlaoise so I'm ok but we'll see what happens in the morning. Shouldn't they fire people for unofficial strikes? |

Well we don't know whats coming up from Cork, Cork needs 3 sets in place for the morning we don't know what is there now, best guess has the 15:30 ex Cork in Cork still, 17:30 ex Cork is still in Mallow on its was down, 19:30 set never made it to Cork we think or it might have since its a Dublin man who brings it back. It all depends on what is in Cork, also depends on what a Dublin based driver will do faced with a picket
Looks like IE are not going to let trains get tied up south of Limerick Junction If they are short the 9am out of Cork is the one that will be chopped |

So best bet in the morning is to catch the 0715 or 0741 from Portlaoise because they both start in Portlaoise?

edit: come to think of it. If I was working my late shift tonight (as I will be all next week) I would need to catch the 9 o'clock train home. What rights would I have to a bus/taxi etc if this was the case? Last edited by sandraoh : 05-09-2006 at 17:03. |

Latest news in Cork indicates that all drivers have reported in for duty but the signalmen have not
The yard in Cork station is controlled locally and as such no train can move without a Cork signalman |
