Default Speed Restriction

Noticed today that there is a temporary(based on the signage) 25mph speed restriction on the Maynooth line inbound, for a few hundred metres after the M50 bridge. Probably related to the work on the junction.

There may be but I have yet to be on a delayed train on the line in almost two weeks of commuting - since my holidays I mean.

It shouldnt make any difference to the commuter trains. They'll hardly have accelerated past 25 after leaving castleknock / before they come into phoenix park. Prob just for the intercity services.

Actually i was on a commuter service this evening inbound that ran nonstop from clonsilla to ashtown. It flew along until it got to just after the m50 roundabout thought it would come to a standstill but after a few seconds it was flying again on to ashtown

Yep thats the 17:05hrs Maynooth Pearse. It is scheduled to run non-stop from Clonsilla to Ashtown.

The Enniscorthy service ahead of it runs non-stop from Coolmine to Drumcondra
