Default [12-11-2009] DART failed to stop at Killester

New one this morning.
The 09:11 Howth-Dun Laoghaire DART is due in Killester at 09:29.
At about 09:27 it vanished off the platform display. A number of people asked the guy at the ticket desk, who said it would be passing straight through. Of course, making an announcement would have been a step too far.

The commuter went through at 0933, followed by a half empty DART at 09:36.
The next DART stopped at 09:40, and got me into Blackrock at 10:12 (11 minutes late itself, and 19 minutes after the first one should have been there).

No explanation given at any point for the DART failing to stop. I'd love to know what happened to anyone on board who was expecting to get off at Killester - would pushing the emergency button be justified there?

You can mark the 09:11 ex-Howth as not having run as timetabled.

Had a reply (amazingly quickly) from IE blaming a train failure at Howth Junction. The 09.11 ex-Howth ran non-stop from Kilbarrack to Connolly.

Of course, the mail completely failed to address the fact that zero information was given to passengers about this.
