Default 08-12-2008 - Bridge Strike

There was a bridge strike of the bridge running from Tara St. to Connolly this evening around 6.

I was stuck in Pearse on the 17:54 from Blackrock - Longford.

However, for once, the driver made very clear, audible and accurate announcements every few minutes to keep us up to date.

It was a refreshing change and most passengers stayed on-board instead of dashing for buses so good to see.

In the event, we were only delayed for 10 minutes.

This is very strange. I was in Blackrock yesterday and got on the Longoford train as well. Now I was going to Clontarf road, but I was too cold so I said I'd go to Connolly and wait for the next dart after that.

Obviously on the same train as Mark, but definetly not the same carriage as I heard no announcment at all. I can't remember if I was in the first or second carriage. I saw from the PIS that there was a bridge strike.
