It's a signalling fault at Howth jcn, according to AA Roadwatch. IE website has "no travel alerts". Pathetic how one has to rely on the AA for up-to-date Rail information.

Is there anyway IE can really be pressured/shamed to improve thier web-based information?

Total line closure at Howth Junction all services suspended

There are NO NORTHERN LINE TRAINS RUNNING

There is going to be a huge gap in northbound services starting in the next 15 minutes as stock is trapped

I was delayed 25 minutes even though the train I was waiting on comes from the depot in Fairview

Apparently they're back running with delays now. I'm about to try my luck with the 18:40 from Connolly.

Fingers crossed!

It happened at Harmonstown station in Dublin shortly before 9pm. Gardai are still trying to establish exactly what happened.

The man was hit by the Belfast Enterprise which pulled out of Connolly station at 8.45pm. Dart services between Killester, Howth and Malahide were suspended and north-bound commuter trains delayed as the body was removed from the scene.

Earlier, rush-hour train services ground to a halt due to a technical glitch on the Dublin to Belfast line.
