Of course it couldn't be related to the engineering works which took place in Howth Junction this morning...

The issue at hand was an electrical overhead wire fault at Howth Junction, not sure if linked to last nights emergency works.

There was a DART that departed Pearse ahead of the 20:43 to Maynooth it destination accoreding to PIS and train screen was Malahide but the driver had announced that he would be stalled at connolly for a few minutes awaiting confirmation of destination and it was still at connolly when the Maynooth train departed connolly. Dundalk departed no problem. Was also an announcement of delays of upto 20 minutes to services.
