Default [14-4-2007] Tipperary Clonmel closed

This was posted shortly after 4pm yesterday before IE legged it to the pub, less than 24 hours notice when we should get at least 4 weeks.

It was also stuck in the middle of the news items not at the top as you would expect

Jimbo from Monesterevin, I hope you are reading this thread.

Close it ; build 120 houses on the alighnment - who cares???

Then when clonmel becomes a commuter town all hell will break lose and we will roll in with the demands of the local rail group who want a realtime connection with civilisation (dont get me wrong Clonmel is soooo D11 it's unreal) that it wont be true.

So, anyway............... upgrading..... yeah....110 year old rail for 60...........big upgrade!!!

Anyone viewing from South Tipp/Waterford/Limerick please pm me.

Are they putting down new track or just replacing it with not-so-old track?

The ride is entertaining to say the least

Worst section is Limerick Junc to Tipperary town its very rough, they haven't got around to it yet

The sections where the track has been relaid are fine
