Not too bad today, only 30 mins late.

Hueston didn't seem to be running too bad this morning. There were mainly 15-30 minute delays to arrivals but trains were at platforms ready for on time departure (whether they leave on time is another story altogether).

Dublin Airport shut until at least 1330

Aer Lingus is putting on extra flights to Cork in order to at least get people into the right country.

Default Irish Rail - Docklands closed; book and travel early

http://irishrail.ie/news_centre/trav...ew&news_id=969
Quote:
Thursday 23rd December: Full services running, some delays. Book for 23rd-24th Dec by Corporate Communications

Thursday 23rd December

Full services are continuing to operate throughout the network across Intercity, DART and Commuter routes.

Some delays may occur where snow is being cleared from points, or there are other weather-related problems, however we will get customers to their destinations.

Customers are also advised to allow extra travel time to get to stations due to poor road and footpath conditions.

Current alterations: M3 Parkway services will operate to and from Connolly Station instead of Docklands.

Booking Intercity travel for 23rd-24th December:

Customers are advised that there is expected to be heavy demand on Intercity services on Thursday 23rd December and Friday 24th December.

Customers intending to travel on Intercity service should note the following:

- Please book your travel on www.irishrail.ie if possible. We appreciate the online sales facility is extremely busy, so please be patient.

- If the online allocation of tickets is sold out, please book on an alternative service.

- If there are no online allocations available, please note that tickets will be sold at the train station, but that customers with bookings will be prioritised, with any remaining capacity made available for customers in stations.

- Please arrive at your station early, and allow time to reach the station, taking into account the difficult road and footpath conditions which exist.

- Please use all available ticket sales points at stations, including ticket office, and automatic ticket vending machines.

- On board the train, please respect seat reservation notices, and do not sit in a seat which has been reserved by another customer.

Thank you for your cooperation.

This website will be updated with any new travel information during the renewed cold spell, primarily through the twitter feed below. Also, please follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/irishrail for up to date info.

I assume customers with weekly/monthly/annual tickets will be given priority also?

1404 Hail to the bus driver, bus driver, bus driver.... Bus Éireann is to provide intercity services on Christmas Day.

Services will operate to and from Limerick, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Rosslare Harbour, Ballina, Sligo, Waterford, Letterkenny, Donegal, Clonmel, and Derry. All services will operate via the main towns.

Some airlines may fly on Christmas Day to accomodate delayed passengers.

Serious delays on Dublin Cork services of 45 minutes
