Delays of 30-60 minutes on about 30-40% of DARTs, worst Sydney Parade-Greystones southbound.

1630 Dublin Connolly-Wexford 57 minutes late

1627 Newbridge-Dublin Heuston 45 minutes late

1500 Dublin Heuston-Cork 43 minutes late
1600 Dublin Heuston-Cork 33 minutes late
1430 Cork-Dublin Heuston 48 minutes late

1525 Dublin Heuston-Limerick 44 minutes late
1625 Dublin Heuston-Limerick 35 minutes late

1430 Dublin Heuston-Galway 38 minutes late
1530 Dublin Heuston-Galway 41 minutes late
1630 Dublin Heuston-Galway 15 minutes late
1505 Galway-Dublin Heuston 29 minutes late

1510 Dublin Heuston-Waterford 51 minutes late
1635 Dublin Heuston-Waterford 39 minutes late
1500 Waterford-Dublin Heuston 40 minutes late

On the go again, 16:30 Wexford train now arriving into Dun Laoghaire should have arrived at 16:55

On the 18.35 Heuston-Waterford, left 5-10 mins late due to other train breaking down, have now stopped at Parkwest due to a technical difficulty with this train!!! I hope IE kept the receipt for these heaps of Hyundai junk!!

Earlier failure was the 10:30 from Cork which failed at Kildare. Most other delays were a knock-on effect.

Default newbridge passengers treated like dirt

Arrived at Hueston at 16.50 to get the 17.10 athlone train, the 17.10 left Hueston at 17.50. In the mean time every other commuter station was accomodated on other services, inculding Portarlington on. Cork and Limerick trains.

Newbridge commuters pay some of the highest euro per mile rates on the network and even the guards at the gates could not believe how newbridge commuters were treated thie evening.

My daughters crech is not V happy with me this evening, Thank you EI

I was one of the "lucky" portarlington( normally I'd be on the 5:10)bound pax that got the combined 5:00/5:05 destined for cork. Unfortunately the driver forgot to stop although he did let a driver off just outside the station. So we got off at Portlaoise and got the ex cork train to port after a short delay(arrived in port at 6:45-6:50). I think we arrived a few mins before the delayed 17:10 arrived

The 10:30 Cork Dublin (Mk4/201) failed on the Dublin side of Kildare

It appears through the usual incompetence it took 3 hours to shift the train. It appears single line working was not introduced between Kildare and Newbridge

To make matters worse the 15:30 from Cork was a 6 piece ICR instead of a Mk4 set so the spare set wasn't in Heuston

For reasons unknown the 17:15 to Newbridge was cancelled. The 16:30 to Galway which does call Newbridge left Heuston at roughly 16:50

Default Newbridge trains

I’m not sure what time the 16.30 left at, because the platform display in Heuston was in meltdown, the chap on the gate at platform 8 was trying to get us information to be fair. But as I could hear his radio, he was being made to look a fool, as he was constantly being given incorrect information by control.

The 17.15 to Newbridge seems to be cancelled at the drop of a hat, by control. A few times I’ve been sitting on the train and it was cancelled.

Well worth the €2k ticket each year.

Add to that an empty train due to pick up customers in Portarlington for Tralee following behind through Portlaoise

The empty train probably turned back before Heuston to scramble to Tralee

The real problem in Heuston is it is controlled locally, while everything west of Inchicore is controlled from somewhere else so there is a lack of information of what train is where on the approach.

There is of course a need to make sure the trains sent out are the right length for the following morning and that a train due maintenance is not sent to somewhere it won't be allowed come back from due to being out of hours

That is a complete joke as it was only around 30mins away from Heuston. If it was further down the line then 3 hours wouldn't suprise me.

Another engine could of been sent out from Heuston. They have many there doing nothing. The train should been stopped no more than 1 hour.
