Up to 1 hour delay at Dun Laoghaire southbound, but moving again

Appears a passenger slipped on the southbound platform which resulted in the 7:45 Howth - Bray being held at Salthill

Default Irish Rail - Docklands closed

Wednesday 22nd December: Full services operating with some delays by Corporate Communications

Wednesday 22nd December

Full services are continuing to operate throughout the network across Intercity, DART and Commuter routes.

Some delays may occur where snow is being cleared from points, or there are other weather-related problems, however we will get customers to their destinations.

Customers are also advised to allow extra travel time to get to stations due to poor road and footpath conditions.

Current alterations: M3 Parkway services will operate to and from Connolly Station instead of Docklands.

This website will be updated with any new travel information during the renewed cold spell, primarily through the twitter feed below. Also, please follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/irishrail for up to date info.

I think it's going to be pretty much the same situation as yesterday evening with 1 hour delays to most trains.

When the 6 o'clock train got into Hueston this morning the 8am Portlaoise train was still sitting there at 8.50.

If you can travel early you probably should.

Dublin Bus have already announced services will cease at 10 pm tonight.

UPDATE Departing trains, generally 10-30 mins late to/from Heuston, 10-40 mins late through Connolly. 1650 Conn-Belfast 60 mins late - this update was posted 4 hours ago on twitter but for some reason refers to 1650 Conn-Belfast

I don't know about 10-30 mins late in Hueston now unless things have improved significantly since 9am. At that stage quite a few trains were delayed by about an hour. Also, Irish Rail made same announcement yesterday of 10-30 min delays when in fact most trains were between 40-60 mins late departing and arriving, some significantly more. Obviously it would be great if there were no delays but if they gave accurate information it would be appreciated.

11:10 - Heuston - Waterford train has engine problems. At least 3 if not 4 engines failed since Dublin. Train is crawling since Kilkenny.

15:00 - Waterford to Dublin Heuston (A513) 17:30 18:03 69 Mins Departed Carlow

Delayed because its operating with 3 engines at a reduced speed and the late running of other services.
