Default [01/12/2010] Travel News

All services expected to operate, but possible delays and some cancellations.

Trains have been less affected than road be the snow. However, be careful of untreated platforms (especially the textured platform edges and less used parts of platforms that may have build-ups of ice), steps, bridges, footpaths and crossings.

We had a train breakdown around Ashtown. I think the 7.10 from Dunboyne broke down.

I was on the 7.15 from Maynooth to Conolly. Got into Connolly around 8.15-8.20

8.55 from Mullingar got to Connolly about 20 minutes late I reckon - not bad under the circumstances. At least they are turning up and running.
