For your information. Also note Ashtown is nearest Maynooth line station to the Phoenix park, not phoenix park station.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

PLEASE USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT AS THERE IS VERY LIMITED PARKING AT THE VENUE IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING FROM DUBLIN CITY CENTRE THE QUICKEST WAY TO THE PHOENIX PARK IS TO WALK. IT IS APPROX. 45 MINUTES FROM O1CONNELL BRIDGE.
IF YOU ARE DRIVING PLEASE USE CITY CENTRE CAR PARKS AND WALK TO THE VENUE AS THERE IS VERY LIMITED PARKING AT THE VENUE.

SHUTTLE BUS
A limited direct shuttle bus service to the Phoenix Park will operate from Custom House Quay in the City Centre. Service will start at 4pm. A limited return service will operate after the show.
DUBLIN BUS
These Dublin Bus routes serve the Parkgate Street entrance of the Phoenix Park approx. 15 minutes walk to the concert site:
10 Donnybrook (UCD Belfield) to Phoenix Park (Infirmary Road)
10a Stillorgan (Shopping Centre) to Phoenix Park (Infirmary Road)
25 Pearse Street to Lucan (Dodsboro)
25a Pearse Street to Lucan (Esker Church)
26 Pearse Street to Palmerstown (Cherry Orchard)
66 Pearse Street to Maynooth (Straffan Road)
66a Pearse Street to Captains Hill (River Forest)
66b Pearse Street to Leixlip (Castletown)
66d Waterloo Road to Leixlip (Easton Road)
67 Pearse Street to Celbridge
68 Aston Quay to Newcastle / Greenogue Business Park
69 Aston Quay to Rathcoole

Routes 37, 38, 39 & 70 serve the Ashtown Gate of Phoenix Park approx. 15 minutes walk to concert site.

LUAS
The closest LUAS Red Line stop to the Phoenix Park is Heuston Station. You can leave the car at the Red Cow Park & Ride site on the N7. Heuston Station is approx 20 minutes walk to the concert site.

IARNROD EIREANN
If you are travelling from the south of the country the closest train
station to the Phoenix Park is Heuston Station. If you are travelling from Connolly Station, Ashtown Station (Connolly to Maynooth line)
is closest. Both stations are approx. 25minutes walk to the concert site.

PRIVATE TRANSPORT

AS TRAFFIC & PARKING DELAYS ARE INEVITABLE PLEASE AVOID DRIVING TO THE
VENUE.
USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT OR CARPOOL.
If you have to drive, leave at least an extra 3 hours for your journey to and from the venue.
There is very limited parking available at the venue with at least 15
minutes walk to the concert site.
There will be a minimum 90 minute delay in exiting the park by car after the show.
Before you set out check the AA Roadwatch website or call AA Roadwatch on 1550 131 811 (Premium Rates apply) for updates on road conditions, traffic delays & roadworks on your route.

* Do not bring umbrellas, flagpoles or alcohol into the grounds. These will be confiscated at the ticket barriers.
* Do not rush the exits after the concert.
* Do not bring cameras or recording equipment into the grounds.
* Do not crowd surf or mosh, as you will be removed from the venue without refund.

Coldplay perform at an open-air concert in The Phoenix Park (close to Ashtown Castle) on Monday 14th September. Gates open at 5pm and the show starts at 6:15pm. Up to 40,000 people are expected to attend. * Motorists can expect delays around the Phoenix Park, particularly on the South Quays, Parkgate St, Connyngham Rd, St John’s Rd West, on the N3/Navan Rd, North Circular Rd and Blackhorse Ave. Anyone not attending the event is urged to avoid the area. * A limited direct shuttle bus service (serving approx 4-5,000) will operate to and from Custom House Quay and the Phoenix Park. Services will start at 4pm and will return directly after the concert. The shuttle costs €3 each way. * A number of road closures will be in place in Phoenix Park, from 6pm on Monday to 1am on Tuesday. The roads affected include Chesterfield Ave, Acres Rd and the Cabra to Mountjoy Cross Rd. Also Knockmaroon Gate, Ashtown Gate and Castleknock Gate will close.

The closest Luas Red Line stop to the Phoenix Park is Heuston Station. It is a 20 minute walk to the concert from there. You can leave your car in the Park & Ride at Tallaght on the N81 or the Red Cow on the N7. Luas will run extra services to accommodate concert-goers. * Patrons are strongly urged to make use of the many Dublin Bus services serving The Phoenix Park. See our Bus Section for further details. * The closest train station is Heuston Stn and if you are coming from Connolly Stn, take the Maynooth line and disembark at Ashtown Stn- the concert is a 15 minute walk from there. * There is limited parking available at Phoenix Park and it is another 15 mins walk to the concert. Special event parking is available at Usher's Quay, Q-Park Four Courts for only €3. • From Dublin City Centre use the Parkgate St entrance. • All traffic from the M50 exit at Junction 6 Blanchardstown and follow signs to the Castleknock Gate.
When you get off at Ashtown station, and exit the station, turn left and walk to the top of the road. You will reach a roundabout, halfway house on the left, offices on the right. you will see a narrow road straight ahead, go straight dont turn left or right. its then a few minutes walk to the park.

How far is the Pheonix Park from Pheonix Park station on the Maynooth Line?

Seriously though, I wouldn't recommend Phoenix park station. You will only be walking up towards Ashtown station, so it is fairly pointless.

I would say ashtown station would be the most convinient. Its nearer to the park than the phoenix park station in anyway.

For reference, anyone travelling via the Maynooth line to the park tonight last services from ashtown are ....

Maynooth bound: 23:29hrs all stations to Maynooth

City bound: 23:39hrs all stations to Connolly

40,000 for a monday night concert not bad !

Without a doubt the quickest way was from the halfway house in ashtown.

Got off the train and a three minute walk to the halfway house. A further three minute to the ashtown gates and we were in the park. A further five or six minutes and we were at the ticket point three not bad.

Walking back to the castleknock gate was a notorious twenty minutes. Doesnt help when you have had a few drinks !

Great concert though !
