Default Iarnrod Eireann get it right (for a change!)

I was in Landsdowne Rd this evening waiting to catch the 17.38 Gorey service
(which was 6 carrages for a change).

Just before my train arrived an announcement over the PA system advised passangers that the next northbound DART service had "reduced capicity" and passangers were told to move up to the top of the platform.

While 4 carrages in the evening peak is crazy at least passangers were advised of it and moved up the platform in time to board the train safely.
Looks like they have finally listened to some of our complaints.

No they got it wrong, there is no reason for the 4 coach DART set currently in service, there are 10 coaches out of service, and we know 6 of those are reasonably serviceable.

As I said Mark. There is no excuse for 4 carrages at rush hour but letting passangers know before it arrives is some help and less dangerous than having passangers running up the platform after the short train.
