My latest news is CAF have been dragged back to deal with the continuing strange display problems and other issues

Probably driver error, punching in the wrong code.

Call me stupid if you like but what was wrong with the old system in pre-DART days where a printed sheet of paper with the destination was stuck to the window of the loco or push-pull trailer? Like all hi-tech gadgets on trains the more you have the more there is to go wrong.

You're just as likely to have someone stick up the wrong sheet. Also I think there's a requirement from the EU that the destination be displayed on every carriage too.

Mosney station still alive and kicking!
Mosney - maigh nuad
(on the destination panel ) weird characters on the external information system information system on the inside not on. also very good passenger numbers considering it is a sunday evening. Alot of people got on at connolly and drumcondra. Eight carriage train. Most he not all seats taken on the last four carriages a good few in the first four. Think thats bad we have had trains from Longford to Bray showing Nenagh. Our favourite remains Baldoyle a station north of Howth Junction which closed in the 1840's, This is a northbound train to Howth next station Baldoyle

Nah I think the Mosney one is the best! Actually come to think of it Clonydonnin is the one for me. Can you board a train at Mosney or clonydonnin?

Clonnydonnin has the edge as it never had a platform, that said it is impossible to go northbound to Howth from Baldoyle, we later got Northbound to Howth, ext Malahide, while at Grand Canal Dock on a train that I think should be going to Malahide

I was on the 6.58 Maynooth to Pearse yesterday and it had literally every station in Ireland.
Front of train had Pearse and then switched to Newry. Inside we had Laytown, Sligo inside the train as well as the correct stations. Stations I never heard of. |

On a side note its strange that despite the fact that this station no longer exists its strange that IEs book its still alive! On the 17:58 Connolly Dundalk to Howth Junction and noticed on the pis it said "1 calling at all stations to Dundalk EXCEPT Portmarnock and Mosney"
