![]() The money is for redundancy payments, not daily service
None of the CIE companies are profitable, Bus Eireann returned a small surplus last year. Incidentally under the companies act, the 2011 accounts are not delayed, Irish Rail's ARD filling date is September 2012 for the 2011 year so nothing underhand

CIE isn't getting the money the NTA is which in turn will give some to Dublin Bus and Irish Rail. Bus Eireann is getting nothing
