For a partial refund, an hour, except on the Enterprise when it is half an hour. After 2 hours (90 minutes on the Enterprise) it is a full refund. Note that all these refunds are in Iarnród Éireann vouchers and apply only to the part of your ticket that you used on that journey, so if you are 1 hour 50 late in on a standard €61 Dublin-Cork ticket, €15.25 in vouchers is all you're entitled to, and you have to submit a claim form in triplicate.

If you bought online you may be able to get a refund to your credit card in the event of a 100% refund, still you can't apply online for the refund

Refunds come in 1 euro denominations

IE will be legally required to issue the refund in money form under upcoming legislation

Since IE have the forms online now (well hidden) the triplicate thing is dead

I have travelled home on the 17.25 service every night this week and the extended service is now more crowded than ever.

Monday and Wednesday the train only had 4 carrages and people were still standing after Rathdrum. Even on Tuesday when 6 carrages operated the service there was a lot more standing after Kilcoole and even after Wicklow people had to stand.

There seems to be a good 40 to 50 passangers on the train when it leaves Gorey for Enniscorthy. IE need to make the train 8 carrages or introduce the 16.40 now.

usually there are seats available from Greystones onwards (assuming 6 carriages).

I think it's 6 cars, and i'm presuming that that has been resolved with all stations on the gorey/rosslare line and that there are no stations with platforms for four-cars resulting in people having to move to the top of the train.

TBH with the standing on the 17:25, i've seen alot worst, (even with eight carriage trains) there are maynooth and Drogheda trains that need the extra carriages alot more urgently, got the 19:00 pearse maynooth at connolly (4 car) and barely got inside the door!.

I thought that with the 17:25 being a commuter train that you weren't garaunteed a seat regardless of origin, destination or stage that a train arrives in. Look at Drogheda and Dundalk!

It just proves that there is a demand behond Gorey. I travelled on the 17:25 Enniscorthy on Monday and it was packed to the limit. I was shoved into the door as with others. I was standing till Wicklow but there was about 6people still standing after that till Rathdrum. The train was a 29000 set it just said "This train is for Enniscorthy" not calling at stations along the route. No platform announcement saying passengers for Wexford etc.. change at Enniscorthy. When they were making the platfroms longer they should have made it to an 8car length or the new 22k with 6cars to that length, Not to 6car commuter lengths!!

All the stations (except possibly Kilcoole and Rosslare Strand) have at least one platform long enough to take an 8-car 2X00.

Now whether the railcars are there to run that level of service is another matter.

Wexford I think has the biggest platform in length.

The new intercity railcars have what is known as selective door opening so only the doors at a platform can be opened, none of the suburban fleet are so fitted

Issues only at Rathdrum really with platforms

There is no problem once the train runs at 6 coach length, in comparison to Maynooth or Drogheda the overcrowding issue is not even on the radar

Rosslare services will they be 3sets x 2 making 6 in total. 3 cars seems to little for the line.

Of course, They have a 10min wait before contining on to Wexford/Rosslare Strand/Rosslare Europort. Passengers who travelled from Rosslare Euro/Rosslare Strand/Wexford on the 18:55 ex Rosslare have a near enough 25min wait before contining on to Dublin, WOW Right....
