Default Shannon Bridge

Travelled up from Sligo last week. The train crawled over the Shannon bridge at Drumsna. I thought that this bridge was rebuilt so why could the train not travel a little faster at this point. Afterall the journey time of 3 hrs, 5 mins could have been easily achieved in MGWR days I'm sure .

Might there have been another train going in the other direction? Or workmen on the trackside?
