C3Ks on Enterprise
On southbound Enterprise, passing Skerries I saw a C3K heading north. Nothing unusual there, however, a few minutes later, passing the golf course south of Skerries I spotted a second C3K train, also heading north. Both appear to have been 6 car sets.
The first one I assumed to be an Enterprise replacement, but the second? Are NIR running rugby specials? |

3 rugby specials today all C3K
They travel back to Dundalk to park up, not enough room in Connolly

All the way back to Dundalk for lack of sidings? What a waste of diesel...

Should have parked them in those 'sidings' under Phoenix Park
Nice day out for the drivers though |

Slightly getting off topic, but I met a friend in town who had to wait 20 mins in Dun Laoghaire then squeeze in to a crammed DART. NIR ran specials, but as far as I know IE didn't put on one extra train for one of the biggest sporting events of the year.
