Default [22-1-2007] Howth Howth Junction suspended

Is it just be or has the rail service collapsed in the last 2 weeks ?

The train is actually between Sutton and Howth

Quote:
22nd January 2007 - 09.45hrs

DART services are currently suspended between Howth and Howth Junction due to a technical fault on a train near Sutton.

Dublin Bus will honour rail tickets for customers travelling to/from Howth, Sutton and Bayside.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Default 18.40 to Dundalk Brake failure

I got on the above service @ 18.30 last night. At 18.50 having gone no where, and with the Enterprise soon to depart, I rang Connolly information. They advised there was a brake failure, and this was under investigation. When I advised there was no information to passengers waiting on the train, she advised she would ring an inspector, which to be fair, she would seem to have done. However, at the same moment the driver was updating passengers, an automated destination announcement kicked in, meaning his announcement was unheard (it was the normal low volume/barely audible). We departed just before 7, with the usual stuck behide Northbound DARTs, which led to further delays. And of course the Enterprise was stuck behind us.
