Default Annual Taxsaver Ticket Bus V Rail

I just totted up the cost of travelling from Celbridge to Dublin( Heuston), as regards whether one travels by bus or rail. By Bus the annual ticket will cost €980, whereas if one travels by train the cost will be €1030 + car parking charges, will bring this up to approx. €1400. Even with the saving on tax, this is a remarkable turnoff for rail users, it makes the adverts for rail travel now being aired a complete farce.
