I don't understand why services on the Northern/Maynooth lines can't generally be provided at a regular clock-face 30 minutes type frequency at off-peak times. This would provide the predictability/frequency that passengers want - and rolling stock or congestion along Connolly-Pearse are (almost be definition) not an issue at off-peak times I would have thought.
