Default Interesting Dart Statistics

I see that 100% of Darts were "Reliable" in the period 13/9/10 to 10/10/10, where reliability means, apparently, ran as expected, according to a poster a local Dart station.

That's funny, because I caught a northbound Dart on 8/10/10 around midday, that terminated early at Connolly. And that surely means that a second Dart didn't return southbound either.

Very dangerous to claim a 100% reliability...

The continued falsification of reliability numbers has been communicated to the National Transport Authority who are not terribly impressed.

We need to know specifically which train was involved

Needless to say we have seen some very interesting excuses from Irish Rail when they have been asked to explain, which of course bear no resemblance to events as witnessed by passengers.

There is always someone else who can be blamed. In general its only if a train is cancelled before it leaves its starting point does it get recorded as cancelled.

Example with respect to Irish Rail returns to the NTA for Q1 2010

The report quotes 100% of Greystones-Rosslare operated

terminated at Dun Laoghaire (its a known design flaw on this train
type).
Irish Rail presumably classified this as a failure due to weather
conditions which it clearly was not, not a flake of snow was on the
ground at the point at which the train broke down.

It would have been 12.23, 12.38 or the 12.53 northbound arrival into Connolly; sorry can't be more specific. It arrived into the middle Dart platform before being pulled due to "technical" reasons.
