Default [24-01-2007] 18:25 Heuston - Waterford

Train departed 30 minutes late due to 'technical issues' with the locomotive.

Again, another great day to be on the Carlow line

Also Mark, for your hall of shame on 19-01-2007 the 07:30 Waterford-Heuston was 30 mins late as a goods (timber) train was broke down between Waterford and Thomastown.

regards

kevin

(Spot a trend yet?)
Was 10 minutes late arriving at Carlow. Electrical problems meant that there was only emergency lighting (and no lights in some carriages).

By implication, also no heating. Something blew after leaving waterford and repairs were attempted in KK but to no avail.

Cold train is better than no train i suppose.

That train (MK2) appears (almost) incapable of doing Waterford-Carlow in 1h14m as timetabled. Ticket checker agreed and muttered something about the difference between vacuum braked and air braked trains.

No PA announcements, PA hasn't worked on that train for a few days now. Ticket checker made announcements in each carriage about the problems after each stop.

It's going to be late today too!
I came in on the 15:05 from Galway which turns around and goes to Waterford. We arrived 35 minutes late at almost 20 past 6, so...
