new bridge at Hazelhatch already half closed
Ok...IR opened the new footbridge at Hazelhatch a few days ago. I noticed yesterday that they have already cordoned off half of the stairs to stop people using them.
whats the story?DID IR open this new bridge up without it being finished properly? Or is it now damaged and needs running repairs? Either way its another joke by IR |

maybe...but they took long enough to do the bridge..you'd think they'd have it done right & finished before they opened it!

Just today while I was at the station (Hazelhatch) I noticed that the steps serving Platform 1 (where you disembark coming from Dublin) are much narrower than the steps serving Platform 2. Some joker doing the design didn't use their head, I suppose he/she thought that there would be a mad rush to get on a train rather than to get off !!

yeah i saw this...sure who would be using the steps on that side of the track??? not like there is a large number of people at rush hour! IR planners strike again

There is some sense in all this
Next year Hazelhatch will be like this Platform 1 - Cork bound, 1 maybe 2 trains per hour Platforms 2/3/4 - Main arrival and departure to Dublin 4 arrivals/4 departures Platform 5 - Dublin bound, nearest new station, 1 maybe 2 trains per hour Clearly the stairs at platform 2 will be the busiest
