[2/10/2008] Problems on the Northern Line
Quote:
Isn't it wonderful how a simple bolt of lightning causes trouble, its hardly an unusual event. With a little care you can protect against lightning apart from a direct hit Spell checker is also recommended, accomodated, inconveience, lightening

17:13 Pearse-Drogheda got delayed on the way to Donabate due to this. Fair play to the driver for making an announcement about the lightning strike to the passengers. Though some passengers misheard it and believed it was a union strike and there was no one manning signalling.

To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if that happened

Yip, driver was on the ball on the 17.13. Pitty he did not let passengers know once things had been resolved though. I'm sure the stop start nature of that service gave the impression, that 20 mins delay was only the start of their problems, and therefore they may have got off the train thinking things were worse then they were.
Been a bad week all round for delays on the Northern line. Hope things improve..... |
