![]() If the platforms were lengthened at Drogheda, Connolly and say Bray, would it make sense to turn some of the Drogheda trains into 16 car sets?
If there is a capactity issue on the line, would longer trains be an option if there were not stops at every station, maybe with some passing loops? |

![]() 10 car is as far was the design stretches to, few if any stations can take such a train and given the move from 12 trains an hour to the ability to take 20 it shouldn't be needed
The game is that on paper in a emergency a 10 coach railcar can tow another 10 car one, it can't be done in normal service Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 27-03-2007 at 18:55. |
