[26-2-2007] 18:05 Dub - Portlaoise
This is usually a pretty reliable one, but this mk3 sat down in Kildare, it was 20 mins before we got an announcement that there were engine problems and they were 'going to check the water levels and hopefully get moving'. Then another announcement 10 mins later that the train was experiencing engine failure. Then after watching 2 trains glide by us poor stranded folk, once 45 mins of pointless sitting had elapesed - we were told that....wait for it...'The engine has failed due to engine failure'. Class.
So all off to platform 2 to get the empty 18:40 to Thurles, to get the people for Monasterevin, Portarlington & Portlaoise home. So 45 min delay, we won't be getting anything for that.

And then to add insult to injury after Monday, we had to wait in Kildare for over 10 mins last night to let the late 18.00 from Cork pass us out.
Stuff us commuters, let's look after the €60+ ticket payers on the Cork train. We only had 3 stops left, it's hardly like IE care most of the time whether trains are on time or not.
