![]() things must be getting tight if they bring in this effort for screwing money out of people.
up till now you paid on exit, and the prices were €7 per day, resonable in dublin city centre. the thing being that you can choose when you want to leave. now, paying the same amount, if you are late back to your car instead of stumping up the extra amount based on your time there you get a great big dirty clamping fine. and its not as if heuston has capacity problems. in ten years parking there i have only ever seen it full once, and that was before it was expanded. |

![]() I'm not sure that clamping fees brings in more money than it costs and it loses a lot of good will.
Clamping works best to make sure that people actually pay for their parking, but if there is a barrier, that shouldn't really be a problem
