![]() It is reported elsewhere, including
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/...7N60I420111206 that Veolia is disposing of ALL its transport assets. Is there any information as to how this will affect LUAS?

![]() The National Pension Reserve can do what Caisse Des Depots did and buy out... oh wait the Eurocracy made us give away the NPRF to save the European Banking System. Oh well.

![]() Possibly slightly complicated by the recent Transdev deal.
http://www.veolia-transport.ie/conte...?_p_=41&_pp_=8 http://www.veolia-transport.ie/conte...?_p_=26&_pp_=8 There is a company TRANSDEV RATP IRELAND LTD. Veolia has a bunch of companies in the waster, water and environmental area. Dalkia again has several companies and seems to operate in energy and maintenance services.

![]() Each franchise (as Luas is) normally consists of a dedicated company for that single purpose owned by the parent
So there are a few choices. 1) Veoila retain it as it is profitable 2) Sell it on its own with possible management buy out 3) Sell all Irish/UK transport holdings as a unit The reality is no change to Luas services at any point. The contract is still there. Had metro north gone ahead the winning bidder would probably be first in the queue for a trade sale pitch to consolidate
