Reservation 1305
Why is the 1305 ex Dublin to Sligo on a Friday consistently not available to book online?

Expect its so a 4 piece 22 can operate instead of a 8 piece 29000, majority of passengers would be students who have already tickets and selling online would leading to over crowding. It's a win win situation, service will never be overcrowded to require larger train and its a 22.

13:05 is normally a 4 car 29k as the 22k set is used to strengthen a later train

Mark has that not changed since the 4 piece are around, as the 18.00 return is down for 22?
A set less which would of being required is no longer needed for the afternoon services. The 16.00 has being a 4 piece instead of 2*3 set over the last while. Last edited by Jamie2k9 : 31-01-2014 at 14:44. |

The 1800 return is a 22k, I often use it.
So they've changed from an 8 car 29k to a 4 car 22k set. While the 22k is welcome why isn't it a larger set? Not really like for like cspacity |

Possibly because I can't see 384 or 456 size sets being required, a 4 car 29 had far less than 265 seat 22 so I guess it's acceptable and no online reservations makes sure it's right size.
It's a Friday and everybody will never get seats. Last edited by Jamie2k9 : 04-02-2014 at 14:08. |
